V Box Apparatus

This V-Funnel / V-Box Apparatus is engineered to assess the filling ability, flowability, and viscosity of fresh Self-Compacting Concrete (SCC). By timing how long a defined volume of concrete takes to discharge completely through a narrow bottom orifice, the apparatus provides a reliable qualitative indicator of the mix's relative plastic viscosity while identifying potential susceptibility to segregation or aggregate blocking.

Fabricated from heavy-gauge stainless or mild steel with a smooth internal surface finish, the unit prevents mortar adhesion and aggregate hang-up during flow. The funnel is mounted vertically on a rigid tubular support stand and features a watertight, quick-release bottom trap door that opens instantaneously, delivering clean release dynamics and consistent, repeatable testing for quality compliance in laboratories and precast facilities.
