Concrete Permeability Apparatus

The Three-Cell Concrete Permeability Apparatus is engineered to assess the durability and water-tightness of hardened concrete by measuring the depth of water penetration under controlled hydrostatic pressure. Essential for evaluating structural concrete intended for dams, tunnels, retaining walls, and marine structures, the apparatus subjects specimens to prolonged hydraulic pressure to test matrix density, pore structure connectivity, and resistance to fluid ingress.

The unit accommodates up to three specimens simultaneously, supporting cubic, cylindrical, or prismatic samples with cross-sectional edge lengths or diameters of 150 mm or greater. Each specimen is held between heavy-duty steel clamping flanges equipped with specialized circular rubber gaskets to prevent lateral leakage, while integrated pressure regulators and individual cell isolation valves allow precise, continuous hydraulic pressure distribution across all test chambers.
